Closing out the latest chapter in the ongoing saga of the attempted sale of the iconic Streit's Matzoh Factory on the Lower East Side, the owner tells local LES blog The Lo-Down that they received "a good offer" for the place, "but some members of the board wanted more—so Streit's decided to stay put for the time being." Not a surprise, following the latest pulling of the property from the market back in March; that reputed $25 million offer in early 2008 seems like a long time ago now. Long may they roll off the line on the LES. [Lo-Down, previous]
