Construction Watch: Hot Karl Still Winning Bowery Battle

New, 2 comments

Since the last scoring update on the big Fs of the Bowery—that's Foster and Fischer—Hot Karl's development just south of Houston Street at 263 Bowery remains strides ahead of starchitect opponent Lord Norman Foster at 257 Bowery. When a Curbed operative dropped by on Sunday to assay the current situation, a towering crane was in place at Hot Karl's, hammering in additional steelwork to reach its eventual seven-story goal. Meanwhile, a few doors down, the future Sperone Westwater Gallery remains somewhat of a void. There's been limited activity in the past few days, but nothing too crazy. And while the race seems all but over, in this game, you never know. All it takes is just one pesky stop-work order. Bowery Boogie
