PriceSpotter Big Reveal: Blooming in Bloomingdale

New, 2 comments

And now, the results of yesterday's PriceSpotter asking price guessing game...

Location: 242 West 104th Street
Asking: $675,000
Like last week's 900-square-foot two-bedroom in Carnegie Hill, this Far Upper West Side 900sf'er also came in for some critiques. Said one commenter, "The floor plan is challenging, even given it's not accurately or professionally drawn. The bathroom next to the kitchen is inconvenient and the bedrooms are on the small size." (We even got schooled on the neighborhood: "BTW -- that is not Manhattan Valley -- the proper name for the area is Bloomingdale... Manhattan Valley is on the other side of Broadway." Noted!) But some folks liked the place: "Perfect for a Columbia prof perhaps. Reasonable monthy co-op fee, nice old world woodwork surrounds on ceiling, windows, and drs. Tasteful and well designed use of a very narrow railroad habitat." And as for price? Most guesses ranged high, but axl rose came close: "Ask 650K, Worth-600k tops."
