Red Hook Bloodbath

New, 2 comments

Eater launches a new feature today in which New York literary types pay tribute to their favorite off-the-beaten-path restaurants, bars and miscellaneouses. First up, New Yorker cartoonist Farley Katz celebrates his favorite cat-infested Red Hook slaughterhouse: "Once you acclimate to the smell, the first thing you’ll notice is how loud a hundred and fifty uncomfortable birds can be. For this reason, it’s probably not a great spot for a first date. It’s more of a third date, seal-the-deal type place." [Eater]
