At the southeast corner of East 65th and Lexington, construction is underway on—wait, is this 2006?—a new 15-story, 25-unit development with ground-floor retail that's going to be called, it can now be revealed, The Honore. (The site got the community stirred up last year when the developers demolished a building known as the Kean Residence that stood at 861-863 Lexington, though some thought the old thing "unremarkable" at best.) So what's the new building going to look like? Renderings have been scarce, but crack Curbed researcher Justin Burris ferreted out the rendering above, which doesn't look so awful. It's scheduled to be completed in the second half of next year, though it did get hit with a stop-work order earlier this summer that's, well, stopped work.
