Recently, Post relic Cindy Adams bashed the Broadway pedestrian plazas in Times Square, and in doing so slammed the city for "turning Broadway into Rockaway." Not that we understand the comparison, but at least one Rockaway resident was pissed enough to fire off a letter to the paper: "I take extreme exception to Adams' column comparing the trashing of Times Square to the Rockaways. There is more to New York City than Manhattan -- the Rockaways are one of the city's crown jewels. We have clean beaches, clean water, manicured properties and tree-lined streets." Got that, Adams?
