Posh Upper East Side brokers are counting down the seconds until disgraced Madoff money-funneller J. Ezra Merkin is forced to list his 740 Park duplex, and in the meantime the Observer has turned up the epic (and possibly outdated) floorplan for the 6BR, 8BA spread. It's expected to fetch over $32 million, and it's all about the windows (and the six maids' rooms!): "The duplex has a total of nine windows on Park Avenue, an astonishing sum. (These things are important: At nearby 834 Fifth, a ritzy Upper East Side agent once came up to Ruth Stanton and gushed, 'You're 10 windows.'") [NYO]
