The latest in the spat over the redevelopment of the World Trade Center: Gov. Paterson has told both the Port Authority and developer to Larry Silverstein to meet (yes, again) this week to discuss the financing/fate of Towers 2 and 3. But if that doesn't work out, the governor has told the Port Authority to figure out how to build its WTC commitments (such as the 9/11 memorial) without Silverstein's towers. In a letter, the guv wrote, "This will ensure that...the site will no longer be subject to the fate of the real estate market or these negotiations." Hey, what'd the market ever do to you?!
