Tempo Developers Duke It Out

New, 5 comments

Rumors of developer disarray at rising Kips Bay condo tower Tempo have been greatly exaggerated expanded upon! A couple weeks back a Curbed tipster whispered that the 23rd Street building's original developer was ousted, and now The Real Deal clears it all up: Manhattan developer Quantum Partners was fired by its partner on the project, Ireland-based Menolly Group. One allegation made by Menolly is that Quantum's boss used Tempo contractors to work on his personal residence (he says he paid for that work separately). Quantum is now suing, and amazingly both sides agree that Tempo is on time and on budget. If they divorce, which side gets the hologram? [Real Deal]
