A day doesn't go by in this soured market without word of a new lawsuit or some other legal challenge filed by a buyer seeking to get a deposit back, and today Lois Weiss counts the complaints. There have been 339 "escrow disputes" (deposits on condos and co-ops are held in escrow) so far this year. There were 168 in all of 2008, and just 57 the year before that. Big jump, but how many of those disputes result in a refund? [NYP]
