Going Guerrilla in Dumbo

Once Gossip Girl moved in, you sort of knew it would come to this: Dumbo has emerged as a favorite nabe for street-level, guerrilla-style marketing tactics, often including attractive young women dispensing free products that you may or may not enjoy. Queried by neighborhood blog Dumbo NYC why they're going after the area, one marketing firm replied, "We felt with Dumbo being a high income demographic, they are smarter about innovative marketing vs conventional advertising. Our product campaign was perfect for this type of marketing. Dumbo also has the high condo and rent prices, so they're more likely to buy our products." Duly noted. [Dumbo NYC]
