Curbed Hamptons: Epic Sagaponack Land Deal, More!

Labor Day may have passed, but our Hamptons outpost, Curbed Hamptons, hasn't slowed down. Herewith, a Madoff-free edition of this week's top stories.

1) Above, a piece of land on the Sagaponack waterfront that traded hands in 1999 for $2.1 million. Well, actually, it didn't trade hands then, because suddenly the land was worth a lot more than that, and the seller tried to back out of the deal. A decade later, who ended up on top? Let's just say someone got the deal of a lifetime.

2) With this week's news that the Montauk Yacht Club likely will soon be home to 48 brand new condo units, Curbed Hamptons surveys the Top 10 Most Expensive Condo and Co-op Offerings on the East End.
