BUSHWICK?A tipster passes along the front of the new postcard being mailed out to promote 15-unit Bushwick development 38 Wilson Avenue, and adds "supposedly only 4 units left." We challenge all Curbed readers to explain to us why Bushwick is the opposite of Murray Hill in a way that doesn't incite race war. [CurbedWire Inbox]
RIDGEWOOD, STATEN ISLAND?The outer boroughs got some love today from the Landmarks Preservation Commission, which handed out some new designations. Making the protected list was the Ridgewood Heights North Historic District in Queens, which includes 96 century-old "model tenements" that have remained largely untouched. It becomes the 21st historic district in the city. The LPC also OK'd the designation of four c. 1882 rowhouses in northeastern Staten Island, built on a slope with each building rising slightly higher than the other. Here's the PDF announcing the designations, and there's a couple pictures after the jump. [LPC]
