Brownstoner brings word that of the $181.6 million in new funds being handed out by the state to build affordable housing, $30.75 million of it will go to this cool-looking project at 39 Hegeman Avenue in Brownsville. The 161-unit building will have 100 apartments set aside for formerly homeless adults living with HIV/AIDS or mental illness. A 119-unit development in East New York is also getting $26.26M in financing. ['Stoner]
