NYT architecture critic Nicolai Ouroussoff hauls the expense account out to Texas to review the $486 kazillion new Cowboys Stadium, and he likes the lack of faux-nostalgia present in new parks like the Mets' Citi Field: "There's no brick cladding, no fake wrought ironwork, no infantilizing theme restaurants that seem as if they had been commissioned by Uncle Walt for the Happiest Place on Earth." But he writes for a New York paper so he can't like it that much: "Walk around to either side of the structure and you’re confronted with what looks like a conventional suburban office park." Fuck yeah! Jints! [NYT]
