Construction Watch: Toll's Takeover of 33rd Street

Over in the Murray Hill/Kips Bay DMZ (the building boasts Murray Hill but it's a mere skip away from the Second Avenue movie theater, aka Kips Bay town square), 303 East 33rd Street?the Toll Brothers' stab at sustainable design, or at least the marketing of it?is taking shape. Strange to say, but the building is somehow looking less glassy than we imagined. It's growing in the shadow of some pretty big neighbors, including I.M. Pei's Kips Bay Towers, but 303e33 is holding its own: StreetEasy shows 26 units in contract in the 12-story building. Anybody been by to take a look?
