One month ago we reported that Dumbo's 25 Washington Street was slated to become local overlord Two Trees's next residential conversion, and word has finally trickled down to the commercial tenants?and they're pissed! Says one, "This neighborhood was once an oasis for artists and non-profits. The businesses getting kicked out of this building aren't going to stay in DUMBO." The plan is rentals (100 of 'em), not condos, kicking off in spring 2010. Says Dark Lord Walentas: "People's leases end all of the time. People come, people go."
