The build-out of Ian Schrager's 8,500-square-foot 40 Bond penthouse has exited its Blue Period. Now it's more of a mixed-medium piece, using materials such as glass, brown paper, painter's tape and the occasional ladder to broadcast, hey, the Schrage is on his way. While it seems like forever since the hotelier/developer pledged to move into his Coke-bottle castle in cobblestone Noho, Schrager's in no rush: His old place is still on the market for $12.5 million.
