And the award for first Buildings Department scandal of the season goes to "at least six city building inspectors" who, the Post reports, will be arrested soon for various wrongdoings. Among the allegations: Taking bribes to ignore violations and expedite permits (zzzzzz...), connections to organized crime (better, but what else they got?) and dealing cocaine and prescription pills while on duty (now we're talking!). Two inspectors are now cooperating with the investigation, and some landlords may end up in the pokey as well. [NYP]
