A group has big plans for a theater at Canal and Ludlow that's been sealed off for three decades: a Chinatown Lincoln Center! It's an ambitious idea for the Loew's Canal (currently used as a warehouse), but the building owner is now on board and the Lower Manhattan Development Corp. has issued a grant to study the plan. An architect with Rogers Marvel says the theater is in "surprisingly good shape." [NYP]
