Just when the situation at One Madison Park couldn't get any weirder, former building broker Wendy Maitland sues the developers for not paying back $300,000 in personal loans she made so they could pay off liens. Maitland alleges she made the loan under the condition the money would be repaid in 24 hours, which, uh, it wasn't. Other lawsuits are being filed over sour debts, too, including one by a fellow who says he gave $1 million to the developers, who said he could buy unit 7D in the building for $1,000 if they didn't pay him back.
