Williamsburg Heavy Metal Building Cannot Be Contained!

Shipping container architecture ranks right up there with Bigfoot on the list of things that are endlessly discussed yet rarely seen. But the hot trend of four years ago is finally coming out to play in South Williamsburg. "What do you know about 351 Keap Street?" a tipster writes, photo in tow. "Does this get the designation of Williamsburg's first shipping container building? Perhaps even first in the borough?" We've seen some crazy stuff pop up in Williamsburg, but this feels like a first. Permits for the two-family home (with a garage, according to paperwork) list New York Institute of Technology architecture professor Michele Bertomen as the designer, and she also appears to own it with collaborator David Boyle.
