Welcome back to Tuesday Townhouse: A look at a new-to-market townhouse that is rocking our world. Today, Brooklyn Heights!
This Cranberry Street townhouse is taking its second shot at a sale, after a seven-month stint on the market, last asking $7.39 million, in 2008. The shiny new ask is $6.95 million, for the 5BR, 3BA property, restored in 2005. The listing informs us that it was built in 1828 by Richard Mortimer, an English sea captain, and has "a view of New York Harbor, in the direction of the Captain's walk down the hill to his ship." Same water views, less scurvy! Mortimer's name means nothing to us, but we're kind of enchanted with the idea of living in a sea captain's house nonetheless.
