Seaport Heats Up

New, 21 comments

Apparently, New York's next hot micro-neighborhood is going to be...the South Street Seaport area. According to The Real Deal, even though the nabe missed out on the condo boom, brokers say there are now eager renters and buyers, so much so that there's a shortage of industry. It's now being seen as an alternative to the West Village, according to one broker: "People picture us as the Meatpacking District without the nightclubs and the West Village without the celebrities." Ah, but will it help this thing? [Real Deal]
