Your Bike Lane Problems Solved!

New, 11 comments

Here's an innovative alternative to those rage-inspiring bike lanes: a bike lane in the sky. Bulgarian architect Martin Angelov won an international architecture competition last year with a design for an aerial bike lane that looks something like a circus tightrope. Cyclists hook their bikes into a "U-shaped rim" and a safety wire and then ride across as if they were on the ground. Terrifying, or the answer to all of NYC's bike lane battles? [Inhabitat]
