Hamptons Market Ends '09 Well; Sagaponack Officially Pricey

The latest headlines from Curbed Hamptons, our outpost on the East End...

1) Joining the latest wave of Manhattan and Brooklyn market reports is brokerage Town & Country's pile of stats for the Hamptons. And they're not bad: sales up 47 percent year over year, and median prices up 12 percent.

2) East Hampton's historic Henry D. Hedges House (above) has added another broker to its listing, and Curbed Hamptons has a shoot-out gallery of the two sets of listing photos. Who wins?

3) Sagaponack has been crowned the most expensive small town in the U.S. by BusinessWeek. Sagaponack's median sale price was $4.4 million, compared to a national average of, uh, $174,000. Close race!
