High Line Preservation Watch

The safety of the northernmost portion of the High Line has been looking good lately, and Friends of the High Line just sent out an update on another positive sign: City Planning kicked off the seven-month public review process for the application to acquire this part of the High Line, which is not yet owned by the city. An acquisition doesn't guarantee the safety of the High Line's upper third, but you can bet that if Related Companies execs knock it down to build Hudson Yards, Zombie Bloomberg (who'll most likely be in office by the time construction finally begins) will totally eat their brains.
