Cobble Hill Windowgate

New, 2 comments

A few months after accusations of manipulation and threats of lawsuits over musician Norah Jones' plan to add windows to the side of her Amity Street townhouse, there has been, ladies and gents, some real action in WindowGate. That action is this: the singer has reduced the number of windows she wants to punch in the townhouse wall from 10 to seven. The chairman of the neighboring co-op hints to the Brooklyn Paper that there may have been a compromise, but the Cobble Hill Association, which doesn't miss a trick, seems no less anxious about the possible precedent set by seven windows than by 10.
