This week's top dish from Eater NY, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...
1) Madison Square Park: For the first time in his illustrious career, Danny Meyer will shutter one of his restaurants. The unlucky soul is Tabla, the modern Indian restaurant in a gorgeous 11 Madison Avenue setting. Meyer blames the recession, and says he may reopen the Tabla concept in a smaller space.
2) Greenwich Village: Locals didn't take too kindly to Keith McNally's desire to put an offshoot of his Pulino's pizzeria in the old Village Paper store on Greenwich Avenue. Maybe they'd like a Balthazar Café instead?
3) Central Park: The Central Park Boathouse is flirting with a new outdoor bar, and some preservationists are worked up about the design. Is the tear drop shape too contemporary to get soused at?
4) Soho: The biggest fall opening in the neighborhood is Michael White's Osteria Morini. Have a look inside what was once The Falls, the controversial bar with a crime-ridden past.
