Port Authority Executive Director Chris Ward took a break from listening to the new Arcade Fire album (he likes it but prefers the first one) to chat with the Observer about the Word Trade Center, the Panama Canal, and Moynihan Station. The latest WTC timeline update: 2008's construction timetables are "achievable." Tower 2 will built and available for whenever the market wants it, and Tower 3 is waiting for an anchor tenant. If one doesn't come along by the end of 2012, the tower will stop at five or six stories. [NYO]
