UESers Willing to Take a Loss for Parents of the Year Award

Jeffrey and Patricia Patterson had admirable reasons for relisting their Upper East Side triplex last year, less than a year after buying it for $9.9 million?they wanted to be able to walk their daughter to her West Side school. But even their good intentions couldn't convince a buyer to pick up the not-yet-fully-renovated 15 East 82nd Street flip at its $12 million asking price, and the Pattersons took the apartment (above) off the market after only a couple of months. Now, perhaps the start of a new school year has led them to reconsider those morning walks: the apartment has come back on the market with a new broker and a much lower asking price of $9.5 million. The Pattersons don't appear to have purchased a West Side place yet, but their willingness to take a loss makes us think they're in a hurry to get a move on.
