Oh, the dark side of popularity. So many former Brooklyn residents have hung onto their Park Slope Food Co-op memberships that the store's membership rolls are getting too full. The co-op has had to limit itself to 70 new members per week, and it's now encouraging members to help start other food co-ops to keep its own numbers down. The award for most devoted co-op members goes to the couple who comes to shop and work once a month?even though they moved to Montclair, New Jersey, in 1999. [WSJ]
