Rats, retail troubles, noise, gas cutoffs, ugly ventilation shaft structures, and...flies! That's the latest joy in the lives of Upper East Siders living along the path of the Second Avenue subway, according to local business owners who say the muck that comes from construction is attracting flies. The MTA says that's not the case, but why not take the opportunity to hand out some MTA-branded fly swatters? [NYP]
