It's been a while since our peek inside, and we'd kinda forgotten that Midtown's old Gotham Book Mart was getting turned into a hotel by the folks at C3D architects. But Hotel Chatter's been keeping an eye on it, and just in time: the hotel might open as soon as tonight. The blog's hotel spies report that there's a soft-opening party tonight, but it's unclear whether the rooms themselves?which start at $225/night?are open yet. But those terraces that go all the way up the front? Every room's got one.
