35th Street Is Fugly

New, 2 comments

Frank Addeo, a member of the Municipal Arts Society has declared 35th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues to be the ugliest block in New York. It faces the back of Macy's and has a lot of "blank-wall buildings". Locals agree with the decision saying "It's hideous! It's dirty. And the traffic! The road is always packed with cars. And it's dark. I just try to block it out." and "There should be more lights in here; it's really creepy at night". Long live the king! [NYDN]
