Another Shop Pops Up Under the High Line; Windows Get Creepy

New, 1 comment

And now, the latest from Racked NY, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) West Chelsea: The latest shop to pop up under the High Line is Richard Chai's offering, above, designed by Brooklyn-based architects Snarkitecture to look like the inside of an iceberg. Next up: stalled buildings?

2) Midtown East: A far East Side location hasn't yet hurt the 59th Street TJ Maxx, which had a blockbuster opening day this Sunday. It's a big month coming up for the parent company, which will open a Marshalls in Chelsea this Thursday and a Columbus Circle TJ Maxx in November.

3) West Village, Soho: The creepiest time of the year is approaching, which means stores are putting up their Halloween windows. Interested in a bag of bones? Or perhaps a jar of fingers? We advise against clicking if eating.
