3 Columbus Circle Probably Not Going Condo After All

New, 6 comments

Glassy 3 Columbus Circle followed up its $100 million renovation with a nasty potential foreclosure and the threat of the wrecking ball. That wrecking ball was rumored to be making way for 135 luxury condos on top of Manhattan's first Nordstrom. But it looks like we won't get to see how those $2,000/square foot Columbus Circle-ish condos will work out: 3 Columbus developer Joseph Moinian has struck a deal with the office moguls at SL Green to allow Moinian to keep the tower and fend off Related's foreclosure. Moinian will retain a 51% ownership stake, but this time around SL Green will handle the leasing, which might help nudge that occupancy rate above 16 percent.
