UPPER WEST SIDE?Curbed intern Douglas Land talked his way onto the guest list for a seasonal cooking demo at 208 West 96th Street, the new nine-unit building with a highly unusual look. Up in the 3BR model unit, chef Tony Balderose put the sleek model kitchen to use, cooking up a massive frittata with all local ingredients except for the bottled water (not all the utilities are hooked up). There was also some wine pairing going on, because there's no better way to lure buyers and brokers than through free food and booze. You've seen the place during the day, so check it out at night! DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN?Developer/grocer John Catsimatidis's new Myrtle Avenue rental building, The Andrea, is fully leased, and now he's announced a retail tenant: CVS. Is this exciting? According to Catsimatidis's statement, yes! "This is a great thing for Downtown Brooklyn and is a testament to what can be achieved by combining the efforts a strong private developer and dedicated public officials in the great Borough of Brooklyn." Maybe he loves those CVS-brand gummy worms as much as we do. [CurbedWire Inbox]
