One of the most peculiar buildings of the Lower East Side development boom, River Ridge, the location of which mere feet from the prying eyes of Williamsburg Bridge commuters can only be topped in strangeness by the kitchen decor, has gone rental. Well, it's still a condominium with a handful of active listings, some asking over $900 a square foot, but the units also appear to be available as rentals. Citi Habitats has the rental listings (check out the penthouse), which are priced between $2,600 and $4,500 per month. Records show that seven units in the building have sold since 2008, including two this year. We're calling it now. 2011: Year of the Ridge, baby! Er, or not.
