The Jehovah's Witnesses, owners of a sizable chunk of Brooklyn Heights real estate, announced earlier this year that they planned to relocate to Warwick, NY. The Watchtower had no intention of giving up its two large Columbia Heights buildings and chose not to actively promote the sale of its eight smaller neighborhood properties, either. But that's never stopped anyone from rampant speculation or crazy proposals. The latest: that the city should turn the Watchtower buildings on the borders of Brooklyn Bridge Park into the rest of the luxury condos planned for inside the park. (Tax revenues from condo sales would go toward the park's sky-high annual maintenance bills.) The city refused to comment to the Post, but one Watchtower building has already been turned into One Brooklyn Bridge Park, so we're filing this one under possible.
