Condo Owner Loses East Village Restaurant Noise Battle; More!

New, 2 comments

This week's top dish from Eater NY, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) East Village: A condo owner at 344 Bowery took her noise complaints against downstairs restaurant Sala to court, arguing she had no idea the restaurant hosted private parties or operated partly as a nightclub. Too bad: a judge handed the victory in round 3,987 of the noise wars to the restaurant.

2) UWS: Carding-averse boxed wine purveyor Silk Road Palace on Amsterdam appears to have closed, but never fear, underage New Yorkers. Nearby copycat The Cottage remains open.

3) UES: Elsewhere in noise wars, residents of East 70th Street are none too happy with a pending liquor license application for scientific exploration education center the Explorers Club, but we're kinda curious to see their themed drinks list.

4) Eater has a full rundown on last night's Meatball Madness event at the New York Wine & Food Festival. Mmm, meatballs.
