NYU's proposed "Pinwheel Tower" has enraged neighbors for a variety of reasons, including the fact that it's really, really tall and would, if approved, become part of a landmarked complex. NYU filed its Landmarks Commission application for the 400-foot tower yesterday. Oh, did we say 400 feet? Yup, and that gives the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation a few new causes for complaint in its latest e-mail blast: "Last month in a public hearing, NYU stated that the application would not be filed until November, and that the tower would be only 385 ft. tall."
