New Mapping Project Plays the New York Building Name Game

We just added "tektonomastics" to the T page of our dictionary. It's a made up word for the study of building names, and it's also the name of a new project that's hoping to map every named building in the city. The database has gotten to crowdsourcing time and is inviting name submissions via its website. The only requirement: names must be carved into the stone or attached to the building in metal or wood, so no decals or awnings. Sorry, newbies.
