Perhaps we dismissed the potential 8,000-square-foot apartment above to our imaginary floorplan archive too soon. Contrary to earlier rumors that only half of the possible Time Warner Center combo condo had found a buyer, the Observer reports that the two 74th and 75th-floor units have sold to a single buyer. The apartments are apparently in contract for the list price of $57.5 million (actually a markup from the separate asks of the two apartments). Brokers with knowledge of the deal tell the Observer the units are going to "a foreign buyer looking for a lavish pied-a-terre." And by lavish we mean three kitchens, eight bedrooms, and, uh, 12 bathrooms.
