So much for that real estate industry lobbying and the promise of a $250K investment. The city has not gotten the hoped-for $3 million federal Department of Transportation grant to fund a 7 train extension to 10th Avenue and 41st Street. But that doesn't mean all hope is lost for the far West Side. Industry officials now have their eyes on the money that would have gone to the now-canceled ARC tunnel.
