Second Grade Kids Make Totally Adorable Model of the High Line

New, 2 comments

Hey, High Line Phase II, take as long as you want! We'll be completely happy to keep looking at this adorable model of the High Line built by second graders at the Village Community School. The youngins covered the High Line's entire history in their block, cardboard, and aluminum foil creation, and threw a few notable neighbors like the Standard and Pastis into the mix. The history of the park is also condensed into kidspeak captions on the High Line Blog: "In 1999, two neighborhood residents, Joshua David and Robert Hammond, met at a Community Board meeting where plans to demolish the high line were being discussed. 'Do you want to save the High Line?' Joshua asks Robert. 'Great idea,' he answers." And from that moment came, eventually, this cuteness.
