At Roosevelt Island, the Writing is on the Wall (of the Tram)

New, 1 comment

When the French revealed the new Roosevelt Island tram car, reviews were mixed. Said one outraged Islander, "Now we're going to have to live with a poorly-kerned version of Verdana flying over the East River for the next 30 years." Alert the copy editors, because Roosevelt Islander reports that the lettering has been placed on the new cars in anticipation of service resumption later this month. Is the new tram car font Roosevelt Island's greatest shame? Not if you've seen the retail options.
