The new Aloft on Frederick Douglass Boulevard is about to open, but let's flash back for a moment to when the hotel first came into our lives. During that early rendering reveal, we were surprised by the way the hotel wrapped around and dominated 264 West 124th Street, an old carriage house converted to condos. We're not surprised by what winded up happening, which is the carriage house developing a big crack during the Aloft's construction. But Harlem Bespoke now reports that the building is all patched up. The entrance to the condo portion of the Aloft, called the Apex Condos, is right next door. Hatfields and McCoys revisited, or can these neighbors get along?
