Condos of the Future?

What happens when you buy six Harlem buildings from the city for only $850,000 and then don't meet the terms of the purchase agreement? Eviction! After 11 years. Joseph Gurrera, owner of gourmet grocer Citarella, bought the West 125th and West 126th Street buildings in 1999 and promised to turn them into a warehouse/retail/office complex by 2006. It didn't happen, and the court ordered Gurrera to move out last year. That didn't happen either, but the city hopes to win on appeal and is taking new proposals for the site. Maybe residential?
