Tweaking a Classic 6 Into a "Classic 7"

We're loving this family for tastefully converting their Classic 6 apartment on the Upper West Side into a 3 bedroom with office. The couple, one of which calls the layout a "Classic 7", bought the place back in 2000 for $860,000 and put in about $100,000 in renovations to create the perfect environment for their 2 daughters and dog. By cutting into the dining room they created a bedroom so both girls could have their own room, and in our humble opinion, the dining room still looks pretty nice post-op. What do you guys think of it? And as usual if you only want the pretty pictures, the slideshow is right here.
